G&B Standard 2 Year
G&B Standard 2-Year WarrantyG&B Urban Furniture is extremely proud of the craftsmanship of our products. We recognize that purchasing our furniture is an investment in quality that will last for generations to come.
The G&B limited warranty period of one year begins at the time of receipt of the furniture by the original consumer. If a manufacturing defect is discovered during this time, it is important to promptly notify G&B so that we can quickly resolve the issue. We will then, for a period of two years and at our sole discretion, repair or replace any piece or part found by G&B to be defective in material or workmanship.
Modifications done by a dealer, the consumer, or other parties will void this warranty. This warranty applies only when the furniture is used for normal indoor household purposes. Damage from misuse, neglect, incorrect maintenance, or abuse is not covered. It also does not apply to commercial use, including rental, business, or institutional applications. G&B will not be responsible for shipping costs to or from the consumer’s or dealer’s location for work completed under this warranty
WoodAt G&B, we take the quality of our products seriously. This is why we router in steel channels to all our tabletops over 1.5" thick and take every possible precaution to ensure your table will never twist or warp. However, wood is a natural material that reacts to changes in temperature and humidity. As such, expansion and contraction are normal and expected throughout the year.
Traditional tables are constructed using thinner wood strips, allowing each piece to move independently and reducing the likelihood of significant cracks. In contrast, live edge tables are crafted from large, wide slabs of solid wood, meaning their natural expansion and contraction rates are significantly greater. Over time, this movement will inevitably result in minor cracks or checks, which are not considered defects but rather part of the inherent beauty and character of solid wood furniture.
Unless cracking is substantial enough to compromise the structural integrity of the table, it is not covered under this warranty. To minimize wood movement, we recommend the following care guidelines:
FinishesOur products are stained, sealed, and lacquered (except for natural finishes) with high-quality products. We use an environmentally friendly water-based lacquer as the final protective layer. This lacquer requires up to 30 days to fully cure, and we recommend taking extra care during this period. Avoid placing heavy items, such as centerpieces, on the table for the first 30 days.
While we use a highly durable finishing process, any finish can be compromised if not properly cared for. The following are not covered under this warranty:
Chairs and FabricOur chairs are covered under the G&B limited warranty period of one year for normal residential use. At our sole discretion, G&B will repair or replace any piece or part found to be defective in material or workmanship. Damage resulting from misuse, neglect, improper maintenance, or abuse is not covered under this warranty.
We offer a wide selection of upholstery fabrics from an established Canadian Mennonite company. However, G&B does not warranty the durability, color fastness, fading, stains from spills, or improper cleaning of fabrics. G&B will cover, for a period of one year, breakdown of cushion support and seam damage. Customers selecting fabrics outside the G&B catalog are not covered under this warranty.
Shipping DamagePick-up is always free, but should you require delivery, G&B offers a white-glove delivery service within the Greater Toronto Area and Kitchener-Waterloo region for a fee. Any damage caused by G&B during white-glove delivery is fully covered for repair or replacement.
If you arrange your own shipping, any damage occurring during delivery or setup is not covered under this warranty and should be addressed with the delivery provider. Authorized dealers using independent shipping companies have 48 hours upon receipt to inform G&B of any damage incurred during shipment and are subject to the terms outlined in their partnership agreement.

Helpful Tips to Ensure the Longevity of Your Purchase
- Avoid direct sunlight for prolonged periods.
- Do not use detergents, abrasive cleaners, or improper cleaning agents. Wipe with a slightly damp cloth in the direction of the grain and dry with a soft cloth.
- Avoid placing furniture directly in front of radiators, fireplaces, or other heat sources.
- Maintain humidity levels between 40-45%.
- Avoid impact from hard or heavy objects.

- Position your furniture where doors and drawers can open freely without obstruction.
- Use writing pads on desks and table surfaces to protect against marking.
